The Whatever Pool Party, an all-bodies swim for LGBT*Q+ youth and their allies

The West Vancouver Aquatics and Youth Services Teams & the ‘Whatever’ Youth Committee present... the Whatever Pool Party, an all-bodies swim for LGBT*Q+ youth and their allies (ages 13 – 18 yrs)! This special, FREE after-hours event is taking place on Monday, February 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and is open to youth from across the North Shore, up the Sea-to-Sky corridor, and all around the Lower Mainland.

Location & Other Details 

The event is taking place at the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre (2121 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, V7V 4Y2) after the pool has closed to the public for the evening.

Registration will begin in the Youth Lounge, just up the hall from the pool at 6 p.m. and the swim will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

We ask youth to consider bringing photo ID (for proof of age) but please note that it will be checked by a trusted ally.

Features at the Aquatic Centre

The Aquatic Centre features a water slide, lazy river, inflatable aquatic obstacle course and a hot tub and so EVERY BODY can have fun and get active in the pool! Or hang out on the deck and enjoy the music and snacks – it’s up to you. There are also many inclusive features including water wheelchairs and accessible, gender-neutral change rooms and washrooms.

Other Important Details

Please note that parents, guardians, youth workers and other adult allies are welcome and will have access to a comfortable waiting area and refreshments.

Swim Dress Code: wear what works for you - but remember clothes must be clean and fresh, not the ones you wear to the event, and please no denim or shoes.
